Author Visit (The Eczema Detective)

Children's books author, Marnie Hibbert loves to visit daycare centres, kindergartens, preschools, hospitals and primary schools.

During an Author Visit you can expect: 

• A session that is engaging, fun and informative.
• Author read through of 'The Eczema Detective' (story section only).
• The length of talk adjusted for the age and stage of children.
• Printed activity pages ready to hand out.

Agenda:

• Introduction of who Marnie is.
• Sharing real life photos of what eczema looked like on her 4 year old son.
• Current books
• Why did Marnie write a book?
• Story read aloud
• Questions
• Activities

Every participant receives:

• Resource provided: Preschool Eczema Activities
• An order form to purchase a copy of my book/s with delivery to the centre/school (to save on shipping fees). This can be provided both before and/or after the day of the Author Talk.

Every school receives:

• A signed copy of 'I'm a Dyslexic Superhero' and a signed copy of 'The Eczema Detective' for the library.

Factors I consider when quoting include: School location (for travel time), In-person or virtual presentation, number of attendees, how many sessions required, advance bookings are preferred and postage for books and leaflets (if presentations are virtual).

All talks are customised for your school or group.

Sample quote: 30 minute Author talk in a Sunbury childcare centre for 1, 2 or 3 groups of the same age (3 separate talks)= $280 (Preparation, travel, read aloud, activity set up, and/or delivery of additional books). This is usually considered a half day visit. Invoices are itemised allowing for budgetary allocations.
