The story and illustrations are so sweet and informative. I didn’t realise there was so much extra packed in with the clinical info and the activities. Even for me having some knowledge of eczema, having all that guidance in there is super useful. It’s a really all round useful book for parents and kids, well done!!!

This is a wonderful book. It is informative. It is kid-friendly, and it offers a sensitive look at what Eczema can mean for a child. This is a good read for its informational, educational, and entertainment qualities. I have received a free copy from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

It has a lot of medical information that is written in simple language, beautifully illustrated, and suitable for both children and parents. It was very funny and interesting to read this with my niece. In addition, the drawings and coloring pictures make this a wonderful book

A fun and instructive children’s book, “The Eczema Detective,” provides a thorough look into the subject of eczema. This sweet yet educational story about a 4-year-old kid and his squirrel companion helps readers understand and manage this skin condition. For young brains, the book makes difficult medical knowledge approachable and entertaining, making it ideal for toddlers and children up to the age of seven.
This book is unique in that it combines factual information with fiction. To make sure parents and other caregivers are educated, it has sections including facts about eczema for adults. It also has interactive elements that inspire kids to interact with the material in a lighthearted way.

The Eczema Detective by Marnie Hibbert is an educational picture book for young children. A young boy named Levi suffers from eczema and is sick and tired of feeling itchy and sore. It impacts his life massively and he just can’t take it anymore. So one day, he tells his friend Squirrel, and Squirrel has a solution to Levi’s problem. Squirrel suggests the two of them become detectives to find out what exactly is causing Levi’s eczema to flare up. I wonder what they find out after conducting their investigations. Maybe it’s the neighbor’s cat? Or Levi’s dog? If you’re just as curious as I was, then grab a copy of this wonderful book!
The Eczema Detective was a pleasure to read. I know people who suffer from this horrible condition and how badly it can affect their health. Most children may not know about eczema so books like this will not only educate them about the condition, but will also teach them many important lessons including acceptance, kindness, and more. Marnie Hibbert has kept the writing simple to enable children to read along with ease. The illustrations are vibrant and professional, and young readers will love them. I will certainly be reading this book to my nephew and telling him all about eczema, so thank you, Marnie, for creating this helpful book. I know children will love reading every page of it. Keep up the great work. I can’t wait to see what other educational content you have to offer.

This is a great resource!
There are so many awesome things wrapped up in this one book. First of all, there’s a charming and instructive children’s book that teaches little kids about what eczema is and how to spot triggers and soothe the rashes. There are various activities, trackers for the rashes and treatments, questions to make children think about how they could manage eczema or help a friend with it. There is also a very useful section written for adults that gives more in-depth information. Super useful and cool little resource. It educates kids while it entertains them. Two thumbs up!

A very constructive children’s book.
This book serves several wonderful functions. It is fun, but also very instructive and didactic. I highly recommend it for children with eczema. The book explains the story of a child with this problem and it also contains many activities. The illustrations are beautiful and lovely.

Everything you need to know about eczema is in this book. There’s even a place to write your notes down of your progress through your eczema journey. Great illustrations too!

Overall I wish I found this book sooner. It helps a lot understanding triggers and will help me work on ways to avoid them with my daughter. It did more to explain eczema than my Dr did.
