Description
Dyslexia Workshop for Parents provides parents with a real life story on how we came to learn that my daughter is dyslexic. This personal angle helps parents understand how it feels to be a dyslexic child struggling at school, how common this learning difficulty is, how to identify dyslexia in your child and how to provide support.
I’m really proud of it and have poured everything in so it’s reflective, engaging, informative and practical.
Some of the presentation features:
- Characteristics of undiagnosed dyslexic students
- What parents can do to support dyslexic students
- Quotes to inspire and highlight the importance of identifying struggling students early
- Examples of dyslexic handwriting and the improvements made after specific tutoring
- Ways we can empower children so they know life after school is going to be ok
- Strategies to help struggling readers right now
- Resource links
Every participant receives:
- Key pages from the presentation as a pdf for reference
- Downloadable resources to use instantly
- Superhero Activity Pack containing positive wellbeing activities that encourage self-empowerment
